We have purposely remained quiet the past two days as we, ourselves, have been processing the tragic loss of a brother and the serious injuries to two others.

E.J. Mascaro was a personal friend to most all of us on our Team.  I became friends with him during his time at the Charleston Fire Department and always found him to be an energetic and dedicated young man who was passionate about the Fire Service.   His legacy will live on in the lives of hundreds of firefighters he trained and mentored both here at home and across the country.

We will also continue to respect the privacy of our other brothers as they recover from serious injuries.

Our Team will honor all three of these brother firefighters as we continue to offer support and counseling to all of those in our “family” during the difficult days ahead.  There are many resources available to help anyone needing support.  Please don’t suffer alone in your thoughts.   We pledge all that we have to help to all of you.   Our number is 843-609-8300.

I would also like to say thank you to all of you who have reached out to us since the tragedy to be sure that we are okay.  Your concern and love means a great deal to us all.

Gerald
