Congratulations to our Brother Lee Hopkins of the Hartsville Fire Department on receiving the Jim Flanagan Award from the Pee Dee Firefighter’s Association. This award is given annually to a firefighter who displays exemplary service and dedication to the Fire Service and his community. Lee is a sixteen year veteran of the Fire Service, a Lieutenant in the Hartsville Fire Department and the Midlands Coordinator for the statewide Firefighter Assistance and Support Team. Working with Lee on the F.A.S.T. Team is where we grew to know and love him. He has given untold hours of his time and heart to work on the F.A.S.T. Team in this state and has always set the bar high of all of us to follow. His work has helped individuals, families, firefighters and EMS personnel during some of the most difficult times in their lives. He is blessed to have a wonderful wife April and his still at home children, Hannah and Avery, who support him as he gives so much of his time. Lee, we are proud of you Brother!
