Dear Friends:

I have had something resting on my heart for some time now and I would like to share it with you all. Throughout our lives, all of us have faced the grief of losing a loved one, a family member, a friend, or even a beloved pet. Many times, we also grieve after a divorce, the loss of a cherished relationship or maybe even a job. The point is that grief comes in many forms and the grieving process can be long and seemingly never ending. I have spent many hours trying to understand the process from the loss of my Dad over forty years ago to the passing of my pup, Chloe, just last year.

When we are called upon on our Team to assist others during their time of grief, we have learned that “just being there” can be very helpful to those who are hurting. But, it remains difficult many times to know how to help someone who is in one of the worst places of their lives and to share with them some explanation of the grieving process. We can offer all that our text books tell us, but our own personal experiences also serve to prepare us to help others.

Today, I ran across this post by a friend that really explained it best for me. While we will always respect your need to have privacy and time, please don’t suffer alone. We want to help, we can help, we will help. Our twenty-four number is 843.609.8300.
