Members of our Team were honored to attend the “Firefighter Down” seminar presented on Monday night at the Berkeley County Fire Training Facility. There were nearly 100 firefighters in attendance as this program, sponsored by the Berkeley County Fire Training Association, was presented by Chief Tim Stephenson and Former Asst. Chief Tom Jergensmeyer of the Whitesville Fire Department. The program was presented as a case study of a training fire in 2003 that went horribly wrong resulting in serious injuries to Tom. Both Chief Stephenson and Tom were very candid in their explanations of this fire and presented it to be a learning experience for all in attendance. We salute them for their honesty and integrity in telling their story so all of us could benefit from it.
